After the war he and his brother, Samuel Power, became partners and established the law firm of Power & Power in 1947. It was the first law office to be located on the ground level at the present address of 253 N. Jackson Street. Samuel Power served as Prosecuting Attorney as well as a State Representative.

His father, Dan Power, served as a Sheriff in Clinton County as well as the Mayor of Frankfort and County Commissioner. Kenneth Power followed in his father’s footsteps and was Mayor of Frankfort between 1955 and 1959. He was instrumental in helping establish a Land Trust for an industrial park.

Through his efforts, he brought to Frankfort it’s first major industry, the Peter Paul Candy Company and later National Seal (now Federal Mogul). Kenneth S. Power died on May 25, 1997.
